Artist Statement

All I ever wanted to do was art. I can’t really remember ever wanting anything else. I used to long for wet playtime so I could stay in and draw. My favourite part of any subject at school was the drawing bits, geometry, graphs, diagrams.

Now, as a grown up, I take my inspiration from everyday life and my memories, particularly those that haunt me and I still have that childlike delight when my art makes someone happy, whether that be by my teaching or simply their enjoyment of what I make.

My head buzzes with ideas all the time, sometimes when I should be sleeping, so I have this endless list of future creations, projects and techniques I want so I will never be bored again!
